Two new Van Oord trailing suction hopper dredgers are taking shape at the LaNaval shipyard in Bilbao, Spain. This promising duo – the Vox Amalia and the Vox Alexia – will boost the mid-class segment of Van Oord’s hopper fleet. Their revolutionary design will make them competitive in various markets. A large deadweight combined with a shallow draft, three engines and two rainbow nozzles are only a few of the features that will increase their dredging capacity and lower their carbon emissions.
